| Push-ups for free noodles (12/16/2003) | |
A small restaurant in Beijing has come up with a novel idea to push sales - push-ups. Male patrons can have a big bowl of hand-pulled noodles free if they do 100 push-ups and a woman, 30, reports Beijing Star Daily. The hand-pulled noodles with beef broth is a popular traditional food which originated in Lanzhou, capital of Northwest China's Gansu Province. According to the restaurant's boss, Chen, the exercise keeps people in good health while, at the same time, attracts more people to the eatery. "The volume of business has increased by half since some people test their physical fitness and enjoy themselves although my restaurant is quite small," Chen said. |
